Inspired in form by Harold and the Slacker, Great Adventure performs a fusion of characters, scenes and silliness. The show is driven by the characters and relationships created up front and propelled into unexpected directions before snapping back. Performing a fusion of characters, scenes and silliness, Great Adventure propels the show into unexpected directions before bringing it all back together like a rubber band. The distinguishing charactistic of the show is an uncanny group mind and selfless play.
The group members met four years ago at the IO West and their styles quickly fused. Great Adventure has performed over 80 shows together in the last year while members have performed over 300 shows together in various incarnations. The cast has been featured in television, film and performed in improv festivals in New York City(Del Close), Los Angeles, Phoenix, St. Louis and Memphis. They include members of UCB-LA and IO West House Harold Teams and are graduates of the UCB, IO West, Second City and the Groundlings. These kats keep it tight and then burn the house down with their kinetic, silly and thought-provoking style.
