8pm
GIRLTRAP (Austin)
Girltrap works together to build a show firmly rooted in game, characters, and straight and absurd relationships. Shows can range from a mono-scene to a fast paced montage.

Girltrap has played together through 1 year of classes,1 1/2 years of rehearsals with 2 troupes, and countless late nights around Austin. Whether they play a game based scene, a straight/absurd scene, or a grounded relationship scene they always try to make each other laugh first.

8:30pm
THE WILHELM SCREAM (Cincinnati)
TWS
will be performing the Jim Game, in which a white board is divided into four sections, such as: genres, verbs, time periods and adjectives. Each section is filled with suggestions from the audience. As the show goes on two words from different sections are chosen and scene is created based on that. Eventually two more words are picked and the Scream does another scene and so on.

The audience very much a part of the show. If there are four people on stage in the cast the audience is the fifth member. The show is meant to be out in the audience and made part of the reality created in the scenes. The bounds between the stage and the audience is nonexistent in a TWS performance.

ANTIQUE LIMAX (Austin)
Antique Limax is a 5-man troupe that has been performing in Austin, TX for a little over a year and a half. Their shows are high-energy short form improv inspired by Comedysportz/Whose Line? schools of thought. You'll see a series of games (usually 3 or 4 per show) that range from simple scene games to complex rule-based mime and rhyme games. The repertoire of games is always growing so each show is different and usually involves at least one game audiences haven't seen yet.

We've found that the Austin improv scene is in dire need of more high-action, upbeat short form groups. Audiences enjoy watching us communicate through gibberish and mime and zip through fast-paced scenes that change at a moment's notice. Our topics are usually light and fun and we keep it fairly clean. We love to be clever and come up with new formats for scenes and games. The energy we bring to shows is usually what audiences remember, along with a little bit of wonder at how we got through difficult games we make look easy.

10:30pm
THE DALEY REOME (Chicago)

The Daley Reome is two-person long form improvisation exploring a series of scenes and an array of characters.

What makes this troupe unique?

Multiple character scenes involve the two actors playing all roles including each other's. Both have a knack for being able to believably portray opposite genders as well as develop and deepen character.
