‘A "tea," even though it be formal, is nevertheless friendly and inviting. One does not go in "church" clothes nor with ceremonious manner; but in an informal and every-day spirit, to see one’s friends and be seen by them. A smaller room is preferable, too much space with too few people gives an effect of emptiness which always is suggestive of failure.

Chasing Dumb, The Annoyance[Chicago]
- About the Show -
"Chasing Dumb" is the result of an entirely collaborative process, from conception to performance. 4 people great improvisers discovering the show together. Characters were developed through improvisation until each cast member had an understanding of their character's point of view. The narrative developed organically, and from there, the show's tone and pace. Because the show was created in only one month's time, they were creating just as quickly as they were able to reflect and gain perspective. It was truly the joy of collaboration that fueled them to chase this piece into existence. Chasing Dumb grew from The Annoyance's Triple Feature Show into a full length 3 month run at The Annoyance Theater in 2009. They also performed the show at ComedySportz Chicago, representing The Annoyance in a Chicago Showcase.- Reviews and Accolades -
"You'll laugh really hard at the whirlwind of trippy observations and insane characters on parade in this quick two-act, ensemble-written comedy." -Cheeky Chicago
