RAMPLESEED [Minneapolis]
Rampleseed's style can be summarized as patient and vulnerable. They allow each scene to develop at its own pace, creating rich relationships that provide the foundation for the performance. They also use emotion as the main source of character inspiration, which pushes connections with the audience and the players. Between the two they are able to create a distinctly unique universe that invites the audience to explore as well.

Tom Reed is a Minneapolis actor/comedian/improviser. Reed is a current member of Comedy Sportz Twin Cities, Stevie Ray's Improv Troupe, KA-BAAM! Minneapolis (improvised comic book show), Lounge-asaurus Rex (improvised lounge singer act), and Rampleseed (long form improv duo). In addition to improvisation, Reed has acted and sung in musicals and straight shows throughout his life, including most recently understudying at the Brave New Workshop and writing and performing Parry Hotter and the Half-Drunk Twins, a one-man musical Harry Potter parody at the 2009 Minnesota Fringe Festival. He is also an award-winning slam poet and has been a member of three nationally competitive Minnesota Slam teams. When he's not performing he's working for environmental justice for Native peoples at non-profit organization Honor the Earth or playing outdoors.

Tyler Samples is a Minneapolitan actor and improviser transplanted to Chicago, with training from the Brave New Workshop, Comedy Sportz Twin Cities, Second City Conservatory, iO and the Neo-Futurists.  Samples has performed at the Brave New Workshop, the Playground Theater, Second City's Donny's Skybox, the Twin Cities Improv Festival, the Minnesota Fringe Festival, and other places as well.  Samples is creator and director of Tarantino: The Improvised Show, and produces Extended Play, a weekly show at the Playground Theater.

THE KNUCKLEBALL NOW [Austin/LA]
Austin's The Knuckleball Now was born one night in October 2004, when the Boston Red Sox began their historic comeback against the Yankees which lead to an eventual World Series Title. Their love for baseball was great, but their love for performing improv was even greater. TKN was founded by David Modigliani (Harvard's Instant Gratification Players), Mike D'Alonzo (Gravy, Austin TheatreSports, Catch 24, Players to be Named Later), Craig Kotfas (Gravy, Austin TheatreSports, Catch 24, We Could Be Heroes), and Mike Dolan...

TKN prides itself on providing a smarter, more thought provoking show, than most improv troupes. After Debuting at Waffle Fest they quickly became one of Austin's most exciting and anticipated troupes. Mike Dolen and Lee Eddy (who will always be missed) soon gave way to Michael Joplin (Available Cupholders, Gravy) and eventually Ace Mannin (Available Cupholders, Gnap!.) Not afraid to touch upon political topics, or comment on society, TKN strives to make you think, make you laugh.. make you realize that there's more to life than work and bills, all the while making themselves feel the same way.
