Austin's world-famous music scene and soon-to-be-famous improv scene were bound to collide sooner or later. Set in a record store, Vinyl Destination, a live improvised music and comedy show, follows the fortunes of a diverse group of employees who can't agree on anything about music except that it sounds better on black wax. The cast of characters improvise a day at work, including the songs and music that underscore their lives, performed and accompanied onstage by the cast. Vinyl Destination draws on the city's wealth of performing talent and its distinctive personality to create a wildly entertaining show that brings together the emotional power of live music with the unpredictable excitement of live improv.
