"That's the best improv I've ever seen in Kansas City."  Words from the mouth of an audience member after The Trip Fives very first performance.  Still skeptical?  Want to hear more?  Okay.  Alan Scherstuhl of the Pitch states, "The Trip Fives peddle the lightest, most inventive, flat-out funniest improv in town." How's that grab you? The Trip Fives, named "Best Improv Group" in 2006 by the Pitch, are the anti-Whose-Line-is-it-Anyway? troupe.  No games.  No gimics.  Just straight up improvisation.  In fact, if improv comedy were an all-night parentless party, then The Trip Fives would be the life of it, and probably would have broken a few valubles around 11 o'clock or so.

In the past they have performed with troupes such as Kansas City Theatre Sports, Lighten Up Improv Company, Funny Outfit, Bare TV & Captain Fantastic Presents, and are still associated with local troupes such as ComedyCity, Straight Man, Act Two Baby, Monkey's with Hand Grenades & Too Much Duck. They have also had the privilege of working with some of Chicago's top directers at Second City and Improv Olympic as well as local legend Trish Berrong.
